Shikkoku no Sharnoth -what a beautiful tomorrow- Translation Patch by Amaterasu Translations Main Site: http://amaterasu.tindabox.net/ Forums: http://amaterasu.tindabox.net/forums/ Error Report Thread: http://amaterasu.tindabox.net/forums/index.php?topic=925.0 General Discussion Thread: http://amaterasu.tindabox.net/forums/index.php?topic=926.0 -- Staff -- Translator: Ixrec Hacking & Programming: kingshriek Editor: Sheeta Image Editor: RoXaS QCers: Raide, kViN -- Installation Instructions -- Run the exe, select Sharnoth folder if it's not automatically detected, press next. It should be that simple. You do need to be in Japanese locale to play this game. Applocale may not be enough. Visit the error report thread or #Ammy@irc.rizon.net if you need further assistance. -- Notes -- We recommend reading Sekien no Inganock before reading Shikkoku no Sharnoth, since they were written and take place in that order, but you won't miss much reading Sharnoth first. There is also a Sharnoth webnovel, which is essentially an extra story set after the events of the game. We have not finished translating it yet, but we should in the near future. Because the game takes place in London, we (by which I mean our British editor Sheeta) used UK English instead of US English for this translation. We (she) also made an effort to remove words and expressions too modern to have been used in the Victorian time period the game is set in (with the exception of "gurney", since we decided that was a locution). If you see any words that look suspiciously American or too modern, feel free to report them in the error report thread. (Sheeta: "To all you American English speakers out there, remember that in British English, buildings start with the ground floor, then go up to the first floor, second floor etc. So when Mary walks upstairs to the first floor, don't be too alarmed.") Also, since people always ask, the game is only partially voiced. Do not be surprised if you run across a scene with no voices whatsoever for characters who had them only minutes ago. Do feel free to rage though. If you want to skip the minigame on your first playthrough, or see the extra images without having to earn them, you can download a 100% save here: http://sagaoz.net/savedata/sa/sharnoth_mon.LZH and put it in the "save" folder in your Sharnoth directory. Some Win7 users may find that the actual save folder is in C:Users/Default/Appdata/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files (x86)/Liar/save/ (some of these folders are hidden by default). There are no honorifics in this game, since it's set in Britain. Although most of the images in this game are translated, we skipped the images showing the minigame level names. This was largely because each name had a series of over a dozen images for animation purposes, so doing all of them would have been more work than it was worth. If you care, my translations for the names are as follows: 「First, that which cries heroically」「First, that which burns to the ground」「Second, that which forms a herd」「Second, that which hunts sins」「Third, that which spills blood」「Third, that which splits the bloody earth」「Fourth, that which pulls down into the depths」「That which cries out even now」
